The true way to be a winner is to be a gracious loser. Graceful losing builds
character and inner strength. It is more educational than ten colleges.
Life is not a baseball game or a tennis match, and competition is not man's
noblest estate. God will not look us over for medals, plaques, championship rings,
and trophies, but for scars and bruises honestly earned
in the struggle to be human and to give dignity to life.
